First Impression of Sodashi from Peachy Clean

I finally decided that I would try out Sodashi after Seed To Serum raves about it so much. I had heard about the brand ages ago, but was reluctant to try out 'spa' products that are so expensive but there is a lack of reviews on it. After many thoughts and reading about their ingredients and the founder's background, I am so happy that I went all the way buying 3 of the full size + the travel size of the calming concentrate. Big thanks to Peachy Clean for the superb advice and recommendations . She is such an enthusiastic person and very knowledgeable, so much that you would love talking to her. I highly recommend going to her online store to shop! She offers an express overnight service for orders above $150. I got a free full-size floral body butter too, which I will be reviewing in the future.

April post - (and happy earth day!)

I cannot stop taking pictures of plants nowadays, my picture gallery is just so full of it! I can't help it, leaves during fall season are just the most beautiful, they bring life and colours before winter brings all the grey. I am so excited for winter though. Mostly because there's this really good Groupon deal to Mt. Buller so my friends and I are going to head over there for a day or two. Can't ski, so probably just going to freeze our butt off, throwing snow balls and do some hiking. Excited.

Also, my wishlist for this month is just endless. There are so many things that I want to try. On the top list is definitely the brand Live Native especially their toner and earth exfoliating cleanser. However, their women Frangipani moisturiser is very tempting.. it smells like roses. Their mask also sounds incredible.. a delicious blend of rhassoul clay, raw chocolate, acai, spirulina, MSM from pine trees, acerola, vanilla and 23K edible gold flakes.  It is a British brand made in the unspoilt land in isle of skye and their ingredients are raw. Get it from the Live Native, Being Content or Be Genki. They all ship to Australia.

Vapour Organics Multi-Use blush & cheek. I have been wearing the colour Spark on my cheeks, it is a pretty peachy-pink colour. The texture is creamy so that application is a breeze and it finishes almost like powder but a bit dewy. I wouldn't say that this is nice on the lips as it feels dry but on cheeks, it is perfect. Not sticky and not overly dewy. Get it from I Am Natural Store

Vamp NY. I am so late on the bandwagon but this season... I am definitely going to get it. My first Honores De Pres perfume was the coconut one. I used it all up throughout the summer and it was so delightful. It stays all day without being too overpowering. Coming from someone who cannot stay wearing perfume after 10 minutes, this one surprises me. The scent is deep, woodsy and revolves around tuberose scent.

Next up is INDAH Organics. It's made by Teisha Lowry, a former model who dedicates her time to create honest products using the best constitution of pure ingredients. The main star is her coconut oil. It comes from a rural and small village in Bali and it is hand pressed.  Her coconut oil contains 55 - 57% high Lauric acid, that can only be found naturally in breast milk. My Coconut Butter from Loving Earth is running out, so I am going to try hers next. She also makes solid perfumes as well as body butters that I am itching to try. I cannot make up my mind between Sari or Dreamland. But the perfume, definitely Dewi. Most online stockist in Australia have this.

Loving Earth: Healthy, Sustainable & Fair

This week, I would love to give a brand spotlight. It's not a cosmetic brand. It is a brand that I have trusted for a couple of years now, full of all the goodness for your health but also a sustainable and fair trade business.

Loving Earth is an Australian brand that is based in Melbourne specifically. It commits to help the growers all the way from Mexico, Indonesia, Peru China and of course, Australia.. to source and manufacture the highest quality organic, fairly traded, and wild crafted functional foods available.

'Loving Earth's story begins in rural India not far from Mumbai, where our founding director Scott Fry had been living on an all fruit diet, studying yoga and working with the local Adivasi people on an organic farming project. Industry had begun creeping into the area and many local farmers were selling their topsoil to brickmakers, since agriculture just wasn't a viable source of income anymore. It was back in 2000 that David Suzuki's book From Naked Ape to Superspecies provoked Scott's realisation that to really support these communities, the key was having a brand in the marketplace.'

I admire that the brand primarily started from observing the local needs. I am seeing it first hand in my home country where beautiful crops, lands and farms are quickly being replaced by modern tall concretes used for commercial purposes. It is truly sad that every year I come back, I only find the natural landscape to vanish. A person like Scott Fry, is whom I truly admire, who acts on his will, after knowing the long-term drawbacks this has on the small community and eventually affects the bigger picture.

Rossana's Beauty Routine for The Summer - Autumn

Meet Rossana, the owner and founder of I am Natural Store. I feel all giddy and excited but mostly privileged to be writing about her beauty routine. Look at that gorgeous picture of her, doesn't she just radiate all the positiveness in the world? So, lets read on to find out what she has got in her alley to keep her skin young, fresh and beautiful from inside out!

'My routine is pretty chaotic, but here is a tip.. keep up the work and you will see the magic' - Rossana, the owner and founder of I am Natural Store.

facial skin type: combination
body skin type: dry - even more drier during winter months.

MOA Green Balm

MOA Green Balm is my favourite multi-tasking product during emergency. I use it on my skin from bug bites, itchiness, cleanser & moisturiser when nothing else will do.

March Post + Vapour's Au Pair and RMS lip2cheek in Promise mixed.

The photos above are my old stock during the fall season. Sorry for the blurriness, I was experimenting with my film camera that could not view manual focus and a light meter that did not work. But I so welcome Fall with open arms. I love seasonal transitions. There's just something about it, it's like the air is breeding a new fresh air that gives me the opportunity to start anew. I have been loving the gloomy weather lately with just a bit of sunshine shying through.

Fresh Faced with Kora Organics Tinted Day Cream

Photo from Terry White Chemist (photo will be replaced soon with my own)

Kora Organics tinted day cream has been designed to be used in conjunction with your choice of Kora moisturiser: hydrating, soothing or purifying. It is a healthy alternative to heavy foundation, perfect for everyday use in order to allow your skin to breathe. Don't be mistaken, I still love the lightweight feel of my Vapour Organics foundations but I always reserve that for night-outs or big events. Different from your normal tinted moisturisers that we have tried nowadays, this one by Kora is a texture of a creamy mousse, but not too thick. The moussy consistency means that you only need a small amount, using a tap and blend method, to avoid tugging. I apply it while my skin is still damp from using moisturiser. I must say that it was a bit of a learning curve for me to learn. Click below to read more.
